08.05.2020 — Ich befinde mich in Zürich bei der Kalkbreite. Das Wetter ist super, die Menschen kommen langsam aber sicher wider raus. Die Trams fahren wie immer ihre runden. Sehr viele Menschen sind mit ihren Fahrrädern unterwegs. Auch die Polizei hat an diesem Nachmittag viel zu tun. Sie hat es sehr eilig. Ob sie wegen "zu wenige Abstand" unterwegs sind? Die Strassenbahn Zürich, in der Deutschschweiz heute meist das Tram genannt, ist das Strassenbahn-System der schweizerischen Stadt Zürich. Es wurde 1882 als normalspurige Pferdebahn eröffnet und einige Jahre später umgespurt. Das nunmehr meterspurige Netz wird heute von 16 Linien bedient.

Trams make an important contribution to public transport in the city of Zürich in Switzerland. The tram network serves most city neighbourhoods, and is the backbone of public transport within the city, albeit supplemented by the inner sections of the Zürich S-Bahn, along with urban trolleybus and bus routes as well as two funicular railways and one rack railway. The trams and other city transport modes operate within a fare regime provided by the cantonal public transport authority Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), which also covers regional rail and bus services.

Führerstandsmitfahrt in einer Tram 2000 Be 4/6 (Doppeltraktion) in Zürich auf der Linie 7 von Wollishofen zum Bahnhof Stettbach.

Highlights der Strecke ist neben der Innenstadtdurchfahrt der Tramtunnel zwischen Milchbuck und Schwamendingerplatz mit 3 Zwischenstationen, ein Überbleibsel aus den U-Bahnplänen der 1960er-Jahre.
