Antwerpen, BN PCC Antwerpen # 2053 — route 3 Old Photos (city trams Antwerpen 1960 — 1979)
Bredabaan
A postcard of unfortunately mediocre quality. It is one of the few known shots of a crossing between a P.C.C. tram of the city tram and an S tram of the N.M.V.B. This was only possible between 1960 and 1968. I am not aware of the existence of any other color photos.
This photo once inspired us to redo this 50 years of the closure of the N.M.V.B. in Antwerpen, with an older tram: the S-car cannot leave the tram museum anymore...

Antwerpen, SNCV S motor car # 9786 — route 65
Bredabaan
A few years later, this tram line was discontinued and the tracks were broken up. This was soon regretted, and over 30 years later new tram tracks were laid, which are now served by lines 2 and 3 (situation 2022).

After the closure of the NMVB tram network of Antwerp, this tram came into service in Brussels and on the Coast, while the vehicle also stayed "in between" in Charleroi.
The vehicle still exists and is kept in Antwerp's tram museum.

A few years after the photo was taken, a tornado destroyed a large part of this village. The house that is visible lost its roof, which was never rebuilt, but the house still exists.

The same cannot be said about this tram, even though it was in service until 1988.

It's a special photo for two reasons: this tram only ran very rarely on this route, and in this configuration it barely existed for 3 years.

Antwerpen, Nivelles Odessa Type B # 9674 — route E, 9674+19045
Ekeren, Markt
The inauguration of the new tram line to Ekeren. For this (and other new electrified lines in the region) "new" trams were acquired, which were already built for Odessa, but due to the war (in Europe) and the Revolution (in Russia) they never reached their destination.
It may be an official photo, a duplicate is in my personal collection.
