Sydney — Tramway — Miscellaneous photos
Eddy Avenue Rawson Place
The fire truck involved is visible just to the right of the leading section of the tram.
The nearby (<100 metre away) emergency rail response came to assist in placing the derailed tram back on track; the process took about 5.5 hours, as the tram was slowly shifted over by raising it with jacks and wooden blocks, then pulled by a truck.
It appears that the tram operator does not have a crane to assist with the process.

Sydney — Tramway — Miscellaneous photos
Eddy Avenue Rawson Place
A low speed collision between a fire truck and the Citadis occured around midday, 5 September. The fire truck sounded the siren before entering the intersection, but possibly too late for the tram driver to notice. Both tram and truck entered the intersection at relatively low speeds. All intersections are optimised to prioritise green light for trams, typically switching up to 5 seconds before the tram enters the intersection.
