I apologize, but this shot was clearly made from the Higashi-Shimminato Stop looking east. All the houses match the satellite view, and the Shinminato Bridge is visible in the background. Here is the location in question:

You don't need to apologize, because I think your rermark is correct.
I had driven to the terminus, but found it definitely not photogenic enough to take pictures there: I remember this now seeing your photos.
I then got out somewhere behind a factory, where the sun was perfect and there were also opportunities to photograph the tram in the best possible way. With the exception of part of the bridge in the background, this still ended up being a pretty boring photo.
I quickly took the picture there and then disappeared as fast as I could: there was really nothing to do there. As a result, I had forgotten the exact location later (at home), with an additional: nothing more than the name of a stop could be mentioned there either. You may improve the location of the photo and on the map.

Allow me to respectfully disagree ) Some shots are possible with the bridge in the background. I also had a few good shots near the terminal at the tram crossing with signals, and with the ferry building in the background (not published yet). There is also some 'attractive' industrial scenery on approaches to the terminal, depending which way the camera is pointed ). But the huge protective wall to the south of the line does not help, I agree on that. Somehow I find any dedicated tramway-only right-of-way appealing. Here is a shot approaching the terminal, a classic ROW of a Japanese interurban:

And finally this beauty of the shot was made the same year in 2017 precisely at the same location, and I think this is the only location on the system where such view is possible:

Unfortunately the mountains were covered with clouds when I visited. I've gotten a little luckier with shots with the mountains in Toyama, but the visibility was very limited. Toyama is especially famous for mountains-in-the-background shots, mostly possible in the west of the system, but weather conditions have to line up well.

I've updated the location of your photo.
