Station Groenplaats is one of the 3 oldest metro stations of Antwerp. It opened in 1975. Next year the station will be closed for a complete renovation and rebuild. It will be opened again before the end of 2027.

Station Groenplaats: Level -1: the stations hall exit to the street level.
Station Groenplaats is one of the 3 oldest metro stations of Antwerp. It opened in 1975 as the end station of the first underground tram section together with Meir and Opera. In 1990 it was rebuild as a through drive station after the opening of the Brabo tunnel under the river Schelde and station Van Eeden, the only metro station on the Left Bank.
