Brussels,  Bombardier T2000  # 2041  —  route 94

Delleurlaan — Avenue Delleur

Some drivers think they've found a faster route — not.
The man had hopelessly stuck himself with is car in the gravel. Getting a tow truck to come and do the work would take up a lot of time and leave the tram service hopelessly disrupted. The solution was simple: it was the tram that towed the vehicle away. Of course, the man got a hefty bill for this. The weather was bad, and the quality of the photo so-so. I know, sorry for that, but that kind of situation is really special.

Station Luxembourg — Luxemburg (Trône — Troon)

Statistically, it happens every 10 years that someone tries to get into the tram tunnel with his car. Sometimes along the tracks, sometimes along the stairs... It always ends badly for the car.

The tram burnt completely after a farmers' demonstration that got out of control. The tram would never be rebuilt and was demolished shortly after.

Edingenstraat — Rue d'Enghien

During World War II, the entire city was darkened: this applied to the trams and to the whole city. The result was many accidents, which were all indexed and photographed until 1942.
This is the result of the accident 6373 of 13/04/1942. This is also the last photo of this collection. There were probably no more films available at that time.
The darkening glass, with route number (56) around the front light is clearly visible.

The photo was made by the T.B. (tram company), a print is in my personal collection.
